At Visual Facsimile we only implement artificial intelligence (AI) in ways that increase the fidelity of images or the speed of their production. We do not use AI in a way that detracts from the creative ownership of the visualisations as we understand how important it is that images are specific to the project they are created for. That being said, with the advent of these tools, it is crucial we understand how they work and understand how we can use them within our ethos. aiFFORDABLE HOUSING is therefore our creative outlet to test these technologies. We want to use the lens of potential solutions to the housing crisis to create outputs that align with our passions and sway away from the utopian, unbuildable imagery that is often aligned with generative AI. This way we are hopefully adding something with a small bit of good to the conversation, while learning from the use of technology in a way that will have more relevance to our visualisations. 

We want to be transparent with this use so each of the images that are generated and do not have a human touch in the creation of the image will be marked with an “ai” mark in the lower right of the image.
